Karim Nassar is a purpose-driven business builder with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and financial industries of Canada, US, UK and Europe. He thrives in businesses that are highly regulated, complex and have significant arbitrage and consolidation opportunities. As the CEO of Mednow (TSXV: MNOW), Karim co-founded and built Canada’s largest digital pharmacy from a concept to a 70-person
company valued at $145M when it went public. There, Karim raised $44M in public and private equity, and often acted as CFO, CTO, COO and CCO to build up Mednow to be reachable by over 20 million Canadians. Mednow acquired $30M in operating revenue and created another $10M in organic growth over 3 years.
Prior to building Mednow, Karim served in senior roles at McKesson Inc, Amerisource Bergen and Air Liquide, applying his skill in mergers and acquisitions, B2B2C sales leadership, and strategy development and implementation to gain market share in public tender and privately funded markets. Karim holds an MBA from the Smith School of Business and a computer engineering degree from the University of Toronto.
